Ultimate Frisbee in the Hague started in 1990 with The Haagse ULtimate Klub (HULK). HULK initially enjoyed a flourishing period of ultimate but this unfortunately came to an end in 2002. After a relatively quiet period a group of people picked it up again in 2006 and slowly grew into a solid group of about 20 people, attending national competitions and tournaments. In 2007 Ultimus Prime was born and very recently we became an official club, consolidating our status.
Although Ultimus Prime (UP) is a small club, we participate in national competitions and tournaments (both in Holland and abroad). UP organizes some tournaments and we are especially proud of the new beach ultimate tournament, Monsterball, the first edition of which
was a big success. This year we aim to make it even better.
Ultimus Prime is an open club: we welcome all players right through from beginners to
advanced players. There are two trainings a week and a pickup game either on the beach or in the park. Furthermore other activities such as drinks, parties and pannekoeken nights are organized.
