Ultimate Frisbee in the Hague started in 1990 with The Haagse ULtimate Klub (HULK). HULK initially enjoyed a flourishing period of ultimate but this unfortunately came to an end in 2002.

After a relatively quiet period a group of people picked it up again in 2006 and slowly grew into a solid group of about 20 people attending national competitions and tournaments.

In 2007 Ultimus Prime (UP) was born and steadily grew to a club with more than 50 members today. We participate in National Dutch Frisbee competitions organized by the Dutch Frisbee Association (NFB).  In the fall, we play in the mixed division. In the winter, we play in women's and open indoor divisions. In the spring, we move back outside to play in women's and open divisions. In summer when the weather is great we also practice on the beach. Whenever there is enough interest, we attend mixed, open and hat tournaments around the Netherlands and Europe throughout the year.

Ultimus Prime is the owner of Monsterball our beach ultimate tournament, which originated on the beach in Monster, but changed to the beach in Kijkduin. We also like to organize other activities such as holiday celebrations, after practice drinks, bbq's, parties and quiz nights.

Ultimus Prime welcomes all players from beginners to advanced. There are multiple practices a week. You’re more than welcome to join us for some practices to see if you enjoy playing Ultimate (you will….). On the banner below is our current practice schedule. Since there is always a risk of last-minute changes we recommend contacting us before joining one of the practices.
